Discover How the RealFly Freefall Simulator Works
Have you ever imagined the experience of flying without the apprehension of jumping from a plane? The freefall simulator at RealFly turns this dream into a reality. Discover this thrilling experience in complete safety. You're probably wondering how this is possible, right?
Join us for a look behind the scenes of this unique experience that replicates the sensations of freefall, without taking off or jumping from a plane.

The Technology Behind the Simulator
Imagine the power of a domesticated hurricane, concentrated in a monumental glass cylinder. The beating heart of RealFly is a state-of-the-art wind tunnel, where four ultra-powerful turbines generate a powerful vertical airflow, faithfully recreating the sensation of freefall, but without the constraints of altitude or piloting.
The construction of RealFly Sion began in April 2013 and lasted almost a year. With its 24 meters high, the RealFly "wind tunnel" is the first indoor freefall simulator in Switzerland and can accommodate up to 4 people flying simultaneously. The 4.35-meter diameter flight chamber consists of a set of 5-meter high glass walls and a usable height of 14 meters.
Preparation Before the Flight
Each participant is carefully prepared by our certified and experienced instructors. You will receive training, learn basic flight techniques, the gestures your coaches will show you during the activity (head up, bend knees, straighten legs, relax, smile :P) as well as essential safety instructions. Equipped with a suit, helmet, goggles, and earplugs, you will be ready for an unforgettable experience, concluded by a personalized certificate and, if desired, photos and videos of your session.
The Sensation of Flight
Once inside the simulator, the experience becomes completely immersive. Participants feel an incredible sense of freedom, experiencing the power of the wind at almost 200km/h. The coaches will guide them to find the correct "neutral belly-to-earth" position for flying, so they can then try to fly on their own.
Indoor skydiving is a sport accessible to everyone. Yes! You don't need to be a champion to float in a wind tunnel; this activity is accessible to the whole family from 5 years old.
With RealFly, you can experience indoor freefall without worrying about weather conditions.
